NJFFS Section A7

New A-8 is in service as of Friday May 11 2012. As soon as I can figure out how, a picture will be posted.

On May 19 2012 Section 8 will be hosting a simulated wildfire drill at the Round Valley Reservior. Assembly will be at the East Whitehouse Fire House on Saturday, May 19 2012 at 0800 for a briefing. After the briefing the drill will commence at the Round Valley Reservior. The drill should end around 1300 hrs. This drill is open to all crewman, deputy district, and district wardens. This drill is open to Sections 6, 7, and 8. At this time there is not a rain date schedualed. Come dressed as you would for a wildland fire. See you there, Harold

As of April 30 2012 the Division A repeater ( ch 7 ) is back in operation. The repeater has been moved from the Milton Fire Tower and relocated to the Morris County Communications Tower. Any unit which has used ch 7 should continue to do so. Due to the new location, new areas may be accessible to our mobile units as some areas may not. Do radio checks in your area to see if the repeater is accessible. Notify your section warden of new or deleted locations. Those who use ch 7S should continue to do so. As a reminder all unit in the southern end of Division A should use ch 9A as your fireground channel.

The april meeting will be at Liberty Corner FAS on April 3, 2012 at 8pm. All members please bring any state issued ppe that you have, except gloves and water bottles.

The ag-cats will be in service at Aeroflex Airport March 19 2012 due to the fire activity in Division A.

” 1606 CAPE MAY ” CHANNEL. THIS CHANNEL IS PROGRAMMED IN ALL STATE RADIOS, YOU MAY HAVE TO ADD THIS CHANNEL TO YOUR SCAN LIST ON STATE VEHICLES. IF YOU NEED ASSISTENCE WITH YOUR RADIO PLEASE CALL YOUR ASSIGNED SECTION WARDEN.
